what to say when its been forever since i last updated this blog? well chris is working like crazy about a little more than a month ago he tore all the ligaments in his ankle playing church basketball and was off of work for two weeks and it took him a good week before he could even walk on it. good news its pretty much healed at least to the point he can do just about everything he could before his injury. hes working out like a mad man and getting a nice tan ( he wants to try out a body building competition in the summer so hes also on this crazy no carb diet and basically all protein is what hell eat. other than that he's just keeping busy trying to help me out with bailey.

Bailey is busy as ever her favorite movies are UP, Horton hears a who, and Barney. shes slowly getting potty trained and she seems to like it when she chooses to go that is. she is learning all sorts of words these days mainly one worded phrases but shes getting good at pronouncing them. she loves shoes and her fruits and pastas. loves to play tough a war with my parents dogs and loves to have her toe nails painted.shes finally getting hair on the sides of her head so hopefully the mullet is out by the end of the summer oh and she is finally in nursery and she seems to like it for the most part.

as for me i have 3 weeks left in my pregnancy and cant wait for it to be over. i've been in nesting mode on and off since i hit about 4 months and im just trying to prepare bailey and chris for the changes coming since they both have never dealt with a new born that'll be fun yay! im still a teacher in the primary and have 11 kids in my class and love it. Chris has been on my case about eating healthier and exercising more so ive been trying to do that without pushing myself over the edge which im thankful for otherwise i wouldnt have done any of it. oh i had a dr.s appt. today and the baby( no name yet thanks to chris) is weighing about 6 pounds 5 ounces dilated to almost a 2 and contraction are about 3 times an hour so its not too bad i guess and she looks great. however my fluid levels are pretty low so next week i have to go back in and get another ultra sound and if they are the same or lower ill have to be induced so maybe as soon as next thursday we'll have our new addition arriving. im way excited but nervous at the same time since my last labor and delivery experience wasnt at all fun but im hoping for the best. ill try to keep everyone posted

Long needed update

YES im a horrible blogger i know but hey one day ill pick up again and be on top of things. alright so starting with Chris- he has been hard with the police and enjoys his job very much his schedule right now is 4 ten hour shifts from tues to fri working the graveyard shift. I loe this schedule but come august itll be the same excet for the days which will be sat evening to tuesday evening which im really upset about cuz now he'll have a hard time attending church or even awak i should say and probably not be in a good mood those days and we wont get to have fhe. moving on he and my brother have played tennis a few time this past few weeks which is great except they dont know much on how to play jsut yet bt its a work in progress. He is learning spanish!!!! yay for him and its going pretty well i think. he has also been working out which is great cuz it gives him time to himself and relieve any stress.

Bailey- she is now walking! i know its insane not very well yet but she's already trying to run but never get farther then a few steps. she loves to help with the laundry (by handing me the clothes ive already folded, of course) everything is ma and when she does say dada its usually at the dogs or at random things. she's learned to do the ok sign oh and say maw aka more and pay aka please not that she really know the mean i think. she also kisses and makes the sounds of a motor engine as well as the sound you make when blowing bubbles in the water. she loves to dance ( its usually to broadway and hip hop music ive noticed) and loves to play in the pool and tub or sink. and her birthday is just a few weeks away!

Me- im also learning spanish, i know i should know this stuff already, i can understand pretty well but i suck when it comes to speaking it ioh by the way i hate the word newspaper in spanish i can never say it. im still at home with baiely and i love spending time with her. i love going on wlaks or bike rides but its been too hot during the day so i have to do it before 8 or after 6 30 at nght. i spending a ton of time cleaning after bailey but by the end of the day its pretty much the same but im ok with it. oh i got a NEW CAR!!!! and i love it ive also have a calling in the primary and i love it so much the kids are great. other than that i think ive covered it allbut we are going on vacation in a little more than a week to idaho and chris will come back a few days early and ill spend the last days in utah. im so excited im counting down and im wantign to pack now but ill hav eto wait until it comes closer. anyways here are a few pics.

Im so bad at this i cant believe its been so long since ive wrote anything im really sorry everyone! ok update time Chris and i are loving our house and our ward! everyone is so nice. I have a calling in the primary with the CTR 8's and i love everyone of them!!!! they are such amazing kids and Bailey loves them too, esp the boys she's a big flirt already ( she's going to be a heart breaker!). CHris is enjoying working back on the streets with the police and is having fun being home. I've been busy trying to keep up with Bailey and her mess's. Bailey has since learned how to crawl and can pull herself up and stand on her own but not for very long. she loves our dvds and thinks they are her's to throw everwhere. she says mama and dada and is learning to say more but its more like maw and hi ma!. she gives hi fives and say bye when she feels like it and gives kisses and head bangs!( she hasnt gotten the dance part down just the head). and she is very determined and indepentant and doesnt like to be helped out much. and she has learned to crawl up the stairs and knows what the purpose of the baby monitore is for so whenm she wakes up she'll climb up and disconnect the monitore and hide it so that she can play or chew on he crib. she's jsut like daddy she love's to eat and play rough. and knows how to get her way. oh she has also kissed her first boy and has held hands with a number of boys from the ward and likes to read or at least act like she can we have tons of books! other than that we spend alot of time with my side of the family and are always busy . i couldnt have ever thought my life would turn out so blessded and crazy at the same time i love my life! ill post new pic really soon!

Anniversary

Monday was Chris and my 2 year Anniversary. On saturday night we dropped off Bailey with my parentsand Chris took me to the melting pot!! we had such a great time to have a night out to ourselves and the food was super yummy. we usually only take a hour for dinner but we ended up being there for 2 hours. after we picked up BAiley and put her to bed we watched a movie and made plans to go to the zoo on monday then headed off to bed. i love my husband and what an amazing person he is. i cant believe how much he loves me and bailey. Happy anniversary love!!!!

The other day bailey her puppy (not really shes gettin old) and i went on a walk to the park and our neighborhood has a cleaning crew and one of the guys had a leaf blower and he aimed it up into a tree and all the dried leaves fell, so we went back home got the camera and we played in the leaves. Bailey loved it, it was something new to play with. and gordie (our dog) would try to eat the leaves everytime bailey would throw them. we had a ton of fun

two days ago i said goodbye to my longest bestest friend megan. i've cried on and off for the past few weeks, im so sad that she has left. Megan, her husband, and their two children moved to Texas so that Her hubby Brock could go to Chiropractic School. Im so happy that he was accepted and that he has been given this opprotunity but since grade school megan and i have never lived more than 10 mins away from each other and even had the chance to live with each other. She has always been the oposite from me, the pretty girl, the one that always had a funny story and the better sense of style. Even though we were so different from each other its what made us best friends. I know its pathetic of me be crying and sad that she's gone and both of our husbands tell us its silly and even though its for a few years ill still miss her terribly. Megan I love you and your my bestest friend and im sorry for not being able to spend more time with you before you left. thank you for looking out for me when i couldnt do it myself and putting up with all my crap, and im sorry i cant be there to watch and help you with ry and ox. I know i tease you alot but i only do it because you give it right back to me and it makes me laugh to see how silly and whats dorks we look like. Ill see you soon and give the babies a kiss for me. MWAH!!!

P.S. when your feeling sad just think of trying to tell me about the mountain dew commercial, love ya!

Yesterday morning Chris and I went down to sign the final papers for our house!!! its ours, the last thing that has to be done is for the bank to take one last lok at the papers and they give us they key to OUR HOUSE in a few days. Im so excited and today we picked up our awsome new sectional couch! I cant believe that in a few days We'll have a house thats ours. its cutting it really close to christmas but its okay i dont even care anymore as long as we get it. ill keep you posted.

Chris and I find out within the next 48 hours if we get the house and when we can move in which should be immediately. Im so excited even if we dont get the house we decided that we'll get an apartment and keep looking. We've got all new appliances and our house is pactically new! The house was built in 07 and the pervious owners only lived in the house for about 8ish months. Its off of the 60 and Crismon and its in a small community. the house has 2 bed rooms, a loft and 2 1/2 bath rooms and a two car garage. Its bank owned so its been a little bit of a process but if we get it then it was worth it. It'll be nice to finally have quite and our own space and away from all the drama my parents house is having. Well wish us luck and hopefully we'll be moved in our new house by the end of the week!!!!

Everyday Bailey loves to spend time with Daddy! The two of them have so much fun with each other, I just can't seem to catch up with them to take more pictures. Bailey loves to be naked and take baths and daddy took her with us on the election day and gave his sticker to her. We have so much fun watching her grow but i have even more fun watching the two of them play.

ITs finally happened, Chris and I are getting a new home!!! We got a call last night from our realitor and he informed us that everything has been approved and that we can move in to our new house in DEC. I cant tell you how excited we are its so cute and fits what we need perfectly, its like it was made for us. (ok that sounded way cheesy) Oh and Chris got a new truck a little over two weeks ago! its an 05 green nissan Titan. Well pretty new its used but its sure new to us! he loves it and now has a new toy to work on. oh other big news Im Pregnant! no way i was just kidding, we are not ready for another baby just yet but a lot of our friends thought i would as soon as chris got home, so no worries im still pregnant free and for a little while let hope.love ya all!

OKAY so Chris is now on his way home from Africa and should be home this weekend! So my family and i were thinking of throwing a welcome home party for Chris and you and your family and kids are invited to celebrate with us. We will have hot dogs and hamburgers for everyone. It'll be so much fun even if you dont know him your still invited.

Last Tuesday i took Bailey to get her first baby pictures done. She loved it! our session lasted a good hour or so and she was wide awake and happy until the last ten mintues when she passed out. She loved the camera's flash.

Bailey was born on July 17th 2008 @ 3:14 a.m. weighing 6 pounds and 7 ounces and 18 1/2 inches long. We went into the hospital on Wed. afternoon and was released Sat. evening. We were to have Chris on the phone with us for most of the delivery and what a blessing that was to be able to at least listen to his voice. I had my mom, best friend megan and my sister inlaw Sonia in the Delivery room with me and they were all so amzing in helping me through this, thanks guys! Bailey is really something she loves to hold her pacifier and suck her hands and thumb. Oh and she smiles like crazy its so exciting! well here are jsut a few pictures of her first few days and ill be sure to put more up asap. Love you all and thank you again to everyone who's helped me through all of this while Chris has been away, and to Chris for being so loving and patient with me. I love you!

Hi From Djibouti

Hi everyone its me Chris, sorry it has taken so long for me to actually add to this blog. Jessica does such a wonderful job at it. I look at about every other day. So anyways nothing new on this end. So my day basically consists of waking up at 4am to go running, then work from 7 to 3, then lift weights, eat and watch movies till i fall asleep. The orphanages her are something else. The baby orphanage is very scary in the sense that the "sisters" shove as much food down the children mouths as fast as possible. i feel so bad for them. The boys orphanage is pretty fun. We go visit them and play basketball or soccer for about two hours.
So Jessica is amazing. She is doing such amazing job going through this pregnancy. i feel horrible for not being able to help her. But i know Heavenly Father is watching over them.
Ok well everyone take care and i will see everyone in about 3 months. Love ya

3 More Months!

I just got the most amazing news today, Chris called and said that on October the 4th he is leaving Africa and heading back for the States! The only thing is all the guys will have to report to NC for debriefing before they are allowed to come home. So were hoping by mid October Chris will be back. I cant even start to express how happy and reliefed i am to finally know when i can have him home again. By the time Chris comes home we will have been separated for 9 months (not by our choice of course) well except for the few days i was able to fly out there to see him. Well other news for those who dont know ive been put on bed rest the last three weeks b/c i cant stop contracting and my blood pressure was going crazy. Let me tell you it sucks, I hate to just lying around and not be able to do or go anywhere. Good news though my Doctor says Bailey and I are doing well so starting on Sunday they are taking me off my medication and im not at high risk for early labor! I still am on "Bed rest" but for the most part they are allowing me to go out as long as i keep my walking and activities to a minimum. OH so my baby shower has been postponed til after Bailey is born ( again not my Choice) But i want to thank everyone who has helped me out with getting the little things that i really need for her frist few weeks before the shower, your amazing!

A peek into Africa

Okay so i know its been a while since my last post, but im starting to catch up now. So here are some more pictures from Africa. Chris isnt in any of these but i really felt these pictures just jumped out at me and i wanted to share them with you. The 1st is a handful of the villages children gathering to watch the marines band play for them. They are so cute! The 2nd is a women walking with her baby wrapped in this beautifully brigth yellow fabric. The 3rd is i a bunch of marines with i believe Djibouti Soilders After a game of soccer. The 4th is a picture of a house built out of i think its clay and stone. There were another picture that showed many more houses like this one but i couldn't get it downloaded for some weird reason. The last one is of a young girl showing off her tattoo's. It amazing to be able to see how other people live and what there culture is like. Chris did say it kind of reminds him a bit like Mexico ( the poor area's that is). Ill try to get more pictures up soon.

Mother's Day

I love Mothers day, its just one more day that i can show mine how much i appreciate all her hard work and endless love. This past year she has really has become my bestfriend. The day that Chris was deployed, she automatically stepped in and has taken the role of being my "husband" until Chris comes home and she's done it so well. She has helped me so much with all the changes in my life and has been there to keep me busy and cheer me up when i start breaking down. She is my hero and I love her so much. I did get a call from Chris that morning! I can't tell you how good it is to hear his voice and be able to be so blessed with todays technology. He did get me a beautiful neckalace for mothers day. Thank honey I love it! He did receive news that we would be able to get him home for the birth of Bailey however the military will not pay for his flight and he found out that it's going to cost us about $4,000 to fly him from Africa to Europe to AZ then back. I wanted to cry just because we both new that even with permission to come home we can't afford it. That and to now know that i can have him back for a little bit and then have it yanked away was heart breaking but we are both trying are best to stay positive and still are discussing, hoping and praying to find another way that wont cost us an arm and a leg. We are very thankful though to know it wont be very long before he'll coming back to us. Well i just wanted all know and to wish all you mothers a happy mothers day and I cant wait to join the group.

Okay so the first two collages I got from a website that a few marines put together for all their adventures while being deployed in Africa. If you look close at the second one on the right hand side their is a picture of Chris. The third one is Chris chillin in the tower ( I think thats were he's at) on his laptop. The next one is so cool, Chris said while he was on duty one day a cool looking bird flew down and rested at the end of his machine gun (It's like beauty and the beast. The beast being th gun of course. ya that was a dumb thought). The last one is of Chris just posing with so kind of weapon that I dont know the name of. Well I hope you guys like the pictures I will be posting more within the next few days of the village and some of the children. Chris is doing well, his latest news is that he now has his own room! He is really excited about that oh and he went to the boys orphange last week. He misses everyone and sends his love.

I found some pictures from a website that a few of the marines put together and I loved this picture just because everyone looks so "excited" to be leaving for Africa. I think this was the airport that the guys were at in germany while they were waiting for there connecting flight to Africa. I did it! I was finally able to upload a few pictures that Chris sent me from Africa! He is doing good missing home but work and the other marines tend to keep him busy. The first picture is of Chris in the watch tower I believe. The second one is of him and I probably will get his name wrong but i think that is Sargent Dike sitting next to Chris on a military truck. ( sorry if I got the wrong guy. There's just too many of you guys but im trying) Oh im not sure why Chris is the only one all decked out in his gear? He's probably just playing it safe which I appreciate so much! Oh and the last one is a picture that Chris took of smoke coming from a village not too far from base burning all their trash and dead animals. For those who have been to a third world country you'll know that most cities and villages dont have garbage services and most of the luxurys that we are so blessed with, so the best way for people tp get rid of all their trash and dead is to burn it. Chris says it reaks really bad. (Can you imagine espically if they are burning dead animals). Just remember to take the time to thankful for all the everyday things we take for granted like running water, a/c, your education and home you live in. Life really isnt that bad espically for us. Oh and Chris says hi everyone!

Introducing Mr. & Mrs. Tanner & Crystal Muntz

Last Thursday Tannher and Crystal was married in the Mesa, Arizona Temple! I can't believe it, and Crystal looks so beautiful in her dress! Oh ya I guess Tanner cleaned up pretty good ( im kidding he looks so handsom). Oh and they had such an amazing cake that i had to take a picture of it too. I should totally try to make one like that, one of these days that is. Well Congrats and thanks for finally joinin the married group. We love you guys and are so happy for the two of you!

Oky ao this is chubby me at six months scratching the heck out of my tummy cause I itch like its the end of the world! That and Bailey is kicking like crazy and she hates it when I scratch, that doesn't make me a bad person for scratching when i've been told not too right? Any ways my sister caught me in the act and I thought i looked as if i was going to scratch myself to death, but its okay cuz it felt good.

So Saturday I received a package from Chris. Let me tell you I was super excited to open it as soon as my little brother said "this box says its from Africa" I ran across the kitchen nearly fell and snatched it out of his hands and ripped the box open like a crazy women. I got a a few CD's and his old camcorder that broke and a memory car filled with pictures. He's missing home but is doing well. Ill have to post a few of the pictures on the blog so that you guys can see how much fun he's been having (okay not really he says its pretty boring). Oh and he sent me a t shirt that say Djibouti (yes its pronounced ja-booty for those who dont know where exactly he's at) and it fits perfect! I think he'll have to send more cuz my little brothers think thats its a shirt to share. Everyone is missing him at the house and when Saturdays come around they ask almost every 5 minutes when they can talk to Chris. Well i'll be sure to post a few of the pictures that he has sent me. Oh and Chris says hello to everyone and misses you all. Only about 6 more months til Chris comes home! it feel like forever away but were both trying hard to be patient and positive about the whole situation. Well Ill try to get the pictures up asap.

Well as most of you know Chris was deployed the first of this year to Africa (not Iraq or Afganistan, not sure why everyone kept thinking that. oh well) he's suppose to come home sometime in the end of November at least that's what he's being told as of right now. He is doing well but cant stand the weather, he says its starting to get hot and its very humid. Oh he also says that there's a village not too far from the base which is pretty cool but since their is no garbage services everyone piles there trash and dead animals and burns it all every night. He says it smells really bad and i guess the smell lingers. But there are a few good things, all the lds members are able to have sacrement on sundays (when they dont have to work of course), and Chris is being very positive about seeing this as an opportunity to be a missionary while serving his country. Well the latest on my part isnt much Baily (our soon to be first baby) is as healthy as can be expected and never stops kicking or bouncing around. She has me on a strict schedule for when i'm allowed to sleep. My O.B. says she weighs almost 2 pounds and looks to be growing a little ahead of schedule, its not a bad thing it just means she could be a few weeks early. Oh so Chris is doing fantastic at being the better looking one of the both us. Ever since we found out we were pregnant Chris has been loosing weight while i've been gaining it (not that he needed to, Just as long as doesn't put on "sympothy weight"). Its okay i just keep telling myself its for the baby. Well thats pretty much all that i can really think of .

Okay so Chris and i finally got our blog page set up! SOrry it took so long but life has been crazy. Well the purpose of this blog is to keep all of our friends and family updated with whats going on with Chris while he's serving our country overseas and with me and my pregnancy and everything afterwards.
